Ok, getting verified wasn't as hard as I thought it would be on Blogger/blogspot and Wordpress sites. HOWEVER, forget about it on Google Sites. I tried embedding the verification code from Mastodon to no avail (embedding was easy, having it work, no).

@mguhlin @edutooters Also in terms of adding the verification link, I don't think that Masto picks it up instantly. If you think the HTML looks right, wait a day.
@dcoletta I let it sit for 2-3 days. I do point out that Mastodon picked up on the Wordpress site instantaneously. Basically, the 3 verified sites were like SNAP YOUR FINGERS fast. @edutooters
