I thought I'd read a little on contemporary game genres and got to "incremental games" [1]. They essentially reduce game play to clicking on the same button over and over again with zero choice. And then you can get tools to automate this - auto clickers [2]. And now I'm sort of confused...

@dpiponi if the game plays itself, it gets closer to a movie. An interesting evolution would be live AI-generated movies that allow the audience to tickle the characters to influence their decisions as the story unfolds.

@mjambon This sounds a lot like AI Dungeon although maybe to make it incremental it needs so be simplified and there needs to be some number associated to it that you can increment.
