@harrysintonen Definitely more apparent and upfront "evil" these days, in the past it would be dismissed as "tinfoil" when someone claimed that the gmail inboxes were scanned and info partially sold for ad purposes.
@rms I think electric power production should be regulated regarding pollution, not power consumption.
@malwaretech These days I think twice about pushing my code to GitHub because it will be part of some AI training set.
@malwaretech I think the standard of living would be pretty good in a "hypothetical perfect communist system", but it would be even better in a system where "true free markets" can exist.
In my humble opinion the current capitalist system in the western world is closer to communism than most people think regarding corruption because so many systems of needless regulations are in place. Sure, you need laws, but most of the current regulations are in place only to facilitate some form of manipulation of said market. For example, the bank and finance systems are horrible.
@pancake What if Copilot does the fun part of the programming (55%) and we are stuck with the boring part (45%)?
@ScoWer22 Hmm, "2 bullet wounds to his head", not very likely at all for a suicide. I can recommend the film "Kill the Messenger (2014)", it was pretty good.
@sonny Workbench makes me think of Amiga.
@malwaretech I'm still wondering at what point you became a corporate shill? You used to have integrity, what happened? Signed too many NDAs?
@malwaretech No it doesn't, because you can have a website which is against fascism as well. You also mentioned there are no laws, actually there are, most countries have laws which deals with threats of violence against people or groups of people.
@malwaretech I think censorship is always bad, especially when corporations do it since it leads to fascism. The policing of speech is already completely biased in favor of the corporations and stakeholders, not the people.

Interesting, yes, I can see @TruthSandwich profile from another browser. So let me get this straight; @TruthSandwich replies to your thread @freemo, accuses you of being fascist for not voting the way he wants, and then he blocks me. You would think that only happened if he was accused of something through replies in his own thread.
@harrysintonen Yes, it seems unrealistic and risky to make a big operation out of something like this, my guess is that this is done on specific targets during limited time. Remember Victoria Nuland's "Fuck EU" phone call that was leaked and became news? Where she decides who will be the next president of Ukraine back in 2014. Anyway, I bet they monitored all her calls at the time.
@harrysintonen Yes, it needs to be close to the target phones and base station, but the system is passive (decrypts and records all calls in parallel) so not sure what you mean regarding "overpower large number of cells".
