The only advantage of joining them would be the local timeline possibly be more about gaming. Though not by that overly much I suspect, but you could check them out.
The only one that I know of would be elekk.xyz but it's invite-only. You could check out one of their users' profiles and then click on the 3 dots at any of their posts and check out their local timeline that way if you'd like it there.
