Can #Biden seize control of the #Texas #NationalGuard?

Let's take a look of the powers granted by the
#Constitution.

Biden's authority would come from Article 3, Section 2:
"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States;"

So where does this -call to service- come from?

All that authority rests with
#Congress. This is from Article 1 Section 8:
"To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;"

The power to -call to service- rests with Congress. Once Congress has done so,
#POTUS takes over as the Commander-In-Chief.

Be cautious with people advocating otherwise. They're either ignorant, and spreading
#misinformation. Or they are malicious and attempting to #gaslight you with #disinformation.

If Republicans had no problem deploying NG troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, then they should have no problem mobilizing them for Federal use. The border is a Federal responsibility, not the state.
