I finished learning to receive #Morse alphabet the other day. Took about two months of lazy training with a random Android app from the Play Store. (I tried one from F-Droid, but it was too unwieldy.)
The app only trains individual letters, so I also played #Morsle for a bit of semi-real-world practice. In this game, you listen to a transmission to receive a five-letter word. It starts off at 40 words per minute and gradually drops to 10 WPM. Below is my statistics so far; even though the Android app trained me at 20 WPM, I won most of the games at 30 WPM or higher!
I now switched Morsle to Hard mode, which disables helpful spacing between letters, doesn't hint which of the 5 letters I'm listening to, and doesn't show visual hints of letter codes. Let's see how fast I'll destroy my win streak :)
@minoru Only thing left is to get a baofeng and a morse key... then you can talk about potato harvest with Z-patriots =/
