In the latest round of #enshittification, $WORK has now decided to mutilate inbound email to “obfuscate” *all* URLs (internal or otherwise).
While this potentially makes it less likely for idiots to be dangerous, it makes it much harder for those of us who have an attention span greater than a potato to continue safe practices.
The bastardised URLs also expose recipient email addresses (in plain text!) to M$, for tracking and advertising^W^W^W security purposes of course.
@nullifidian Oh fuck previous employer started doing that shit, and managed to break some stuff in doing so. I gave up trying to educate IT on not doing performance security. 🤦🏻♀️
