There are many reasons as to why people run GNU/Linux (been watching Stallman Vids lately). From privacy to freedom of software to stability. For me: It's the most logical OS in the way it works, I can depend on my pc working right away 100%. Simply put: To me it is the best OS out there, at least for how I work. That being said, the same goes for iOS on phones and tablets, I know they spy on me, but they enable me to get my work done and I think that is the most important point...
@thewk
Well the alternative is Android, and I'm pretty sure Google is worse in the spying and privacy department.
@ghil There is also e-OS from the e.foundation, I tried it, but by getting rid of most things spying in any way I can't get Apps working I actually have no alternative to. But I use I as my private phone, and love it :-)
@thewk
Off to the internet, I need to know about e-OS now. Thanks!
@obi F-Droid for the fuckin' win! Well... Foxy Droid in my case.
@obi
Easy said, but when having ISO codes require certain apps in order to comply with laws etc. to keep with certifications you are kinda forced to use that kind of app on a company phone.
As I said, private phone, fairphone 3 with e os
