So following a #hashtag that's mostly used on a different instance won't show me the posts on my TL. I guess that's due to how federation works.
Does anyone know a workaround for that?

@wststreet The only thing I know about is relays.
That and just following a lot of accounts which might be interesting.
@wststreet If you're thinking that I can only see posts of yours from a month ago due to spotty federation, you would be 100% right.
@olives I figured, haha, don't worry. It happens to me too 
@olives Yeah, I ended up figuring it out in the end. I made an instance for fun and now I understand better how federation works
