Fill in your profiles, people! If you have weakass nothing-profiles that say zero about you, chances are I will break the follow because I don’t know what you’re about and it feels off.

@norakroeger So that you know, a lot of empty looking profiles are ones which haven't been synced to your instance.
I'm saying this because I already saw someone make that mistake and it was hard to watch them talking into the hashtag completely confused.
@olives I am aware that some Mastodon profiles don't carry over to other instances fully. I was referring to cases when someone has a profile that is synched but their actual profile does not provide any info ^^
