I think I upset someone by saying the UI on Pleroma isn't pretty, but it kind of isn't, and that kind of matters (as does usability).

I remember that a few years ago, that ecosystem (and related ones) were far more prominent than they appear to be now.
While that has largely stagnated, others have risen up. And frankly, it's probably the UX.
