He told Daniel later that out of the ones he had admitted to, four were genuine. The rest – there were dozens – were all crimes he hadn’t done."
It's pretty simple why they did this, and it has nothing to do with justice. It's so they can say that they have "closed all these cases".

Hopefully, you will never have to do so, but never talk to the police without a lawyer. They are not your friends. They are there to thoroughly screw you over, and meet a quota. #HumanRights #ukpol
