It's funny to see someone refer to pornography as art.
To be clear, I don't dislike the concept (especially, if it's not live action with actors), but think of someone talking like a philosopher about this, lol.
Yes, I think it's reasonable enough, although it's maybe not the sort of art you'd frame on your wall.
In any case, it's all free expression.
By the way, that isn't the only study which finds no link between sexual aggression and adolescent porn use.
If I recall, the amount of porn usage didn't really go up during covid, which indicates that such usage is driven by someone's *desires* rather than anything else.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31432547/ Study finds no link between sexual aggression and adolescent porn use (aggressive ones used less porn).
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31042055/ Study finds no decrease in "sexual satisfaction" when using porn in adolescents.
So, it's not clear that porn is spooky here.
Even if there was a *correlation*, this doesn't necessarily mean there is a *causal* relationship, especially if certain variables are not controlled for.
Even if there was a *causal* relationship, it doesn't mean it is a significant issue.
Also, sex education seems like a better avenue than invading everyone's privacy or internet censorship.
It also seems there is a bit of a moral panic around BDSM? This might be a generational gap? Is there a big problem?
Not going into further detail in this post.

@glynmoody Hmm... I think diffusion models have positive uses (including therapeutic or recreational ones, although the anti-sex leaning of Utah based OpenAI has a negative impact there).
It is unfortunate that some people choose to do evil (as in that article) with it.

Get rid of the entire bill.
There's so much wrong with it that cherry-picking this clause or that clause will still leave a very bad bill.
🚨 A legal opinion skewers the legality of an anti-democratic clause in the Online Safety Bill (UK).

Yes, the treaty should take steps to protect free expression (broadly construed), privacy, and due process.
It'd also be helpful for it to not be used to enforce unjust laws, or for excessive measures to be used to police minor crimes.
