Even if you support gun prohibition or regulation, you can see all kinds of questionable practices at play in this case.

Expected some guy trapped inside an iron box screaming for help after all that coverage.

Got a flimsy sub which fell apart quickly just as one of their employees warned them it would.

If only the CEO of the sub company listened to that guy who warned him of how things could go south.

"smart" devices which spy on you to some remote distant company are a terrible idea.

Two posts appeared side to side on my feed.

One talking about how good Amazon is to their users compared to Reddit.

One where Amazon locked someone out of their own smart home (something no company should be capable of doing) because someone who works there didn't like the homeowner.

Reading a pseudo-conservative book ban take.

1) Quite a number of other countries don't ban Gender Queer or restrict it to R18. Some of these countries which don't are quite conservative.

2) These people get offended by the fact there is a book "somewhere in the library" because what we're really dealing with are concern trolls.

This isn't much better than the classical poorly constructed "what if they see porn on the Internet" puritanical argument. Who cares?

3) While it has a bit to do with this book, it has more to do with someone censoring a load of other books, even censoring books in public libraries (not even school libraries).

4) Quite often, people who want to ban this book want to ban it state-wide, or even, nationally. And not just to minors.

Hoping the stupid CEO (and his clients) survive.

This thing is more akin to a meme you'd joke about on social media than it is an actual serious vessel to travel the ocean bed in.

It is absolutely insane that they do this. It's not even in "cute inventor trying to do something radical" territory.

It's a pure wtf.

The sub stuck at the bottom of the ocean is even named after the Titanic...

Apparently, a Republican Governor is not fond of the death penalty.

"Alabama built a gas chamber in 2021 so it could begin to kill inmates using the as-yet-untested method of nitrogen hypoxia"
Strong final solution vibes...

What's crazy is how unfit it is for use.

It is piloted with a video game controller.

There is no way to get out without someone unbolting it from the outside.

They're in an experimental vessel without outside support.

It's gone too deep.

Just looking at it makes you feel unsafe.

These billionaires could have hired a normal sub and saved themselves the pain.

Damn, all this stuff about the Titan submersible being stuck in sea is quite crazy. Cheapskate CEO is in that thing too so he probably got what he ...

This submarine story just gets worse and worse.

The CEO dismisses all concerns about safety and ends up trapped in an iron coffin deep in the ocean.

Nice to see more wake up to the fact that DeSantis is worse than Trump.

Twitter's moderation system still has a ridiculous number of false positives.
