I don't like watching anime as it airs. I prefer to watch one episode after another after another when the season is over.

Practically speaking, the LDP is a very dominant party, so it's unsurprising it would involve them.

As someone pointed out:
"In addition to standing against censorship of media, Yamada also focused on issues such as internet privacy and freedom of expression on the internet."

I wonder if science fiction / science fantasy writers realize that a galactic empire, or an inter-galactic empire, would have a lot more than "billions" or "trillions" of people.

Looking at one science fantasy, I wouldn't be surprised, if they had a scene like "For a low price, buy your own private planet" and someone buys the planet, builds a villa, and doesn't do anything else with it.

The seventh prince anime is more entertaining than I expected.

I'm not even looking for these. I casually left a tab open and checked on it randomly.

Apparently, Bluesky also requires a continuous internet connection, otherwise a profile you had open (through the website) will change to "Unable to connect". You'd think it would only stop updating.

I should finish reading this science fantasy novel.

Fun Fact: The images in 's ending are from the light novel.

Now, Bluesky has confirmed that they engage in puritanical censorship.

Practically speaking, someone might have to use a particular social network to communicate (although, in the case of Twit, as I said before, I don't think I can be bothered with it).

Also, I don't think it makes sense to attack someone for using the Bluesky bridge. For one, the number of people who do so are, practically speaking, tiny.

But, also, unless you are RMS (and I don't think things went well for him), then chances are someone is going to use a sub-optimal social network to communicate.

Once again though, I think a slower pace of growth for the fediverse is okay.

In theory, someone could use the fediverse. In practice, there is a good chance they wouldn't, so it would practically come down to one Silicon Valley firm or another.

Show thread

I agree that attacking someone for using Bluesky doesn't make sense, especially when the main competitor to it is Threads.

It looks like they're trying to backfill content now that they missed.
