I'm new to QOTO and relatively new to Mastodon in general, but have built similar systems for in-house business services. This attempt to have suite of open source complementary services running is quite nice.
I was (and probably still will eventually) planning on standing up a similar system for extended family to get them off of proprietary leech services.

I didn't realise you were standing up a suit of complementary servers, awesome.
@freemo Barring a small minority we are all migrants or refugees, regardless of decent. It's too bad many living in the US don't understand what their own parents worked for.
@derek I remember refurbishing these years ago. DOS was too easy, so I built custom kernels ... it took a long time.
