I want to reduce my students' "learning git" pain by walking them through first-month mistakes. What else do you suggest besides these? (We're not doing remote repos just yet.) 1/

Forgetting to add a file
Merging when you haven’t committed yet
Changing branches when you haven’t committed yet
Committing again after a failed merge (without resolving the conflict)
Committing in detached HEAD state
