On this day in 1932 World famous black cowboy Bill Pickett "Dusky Demon" died. He invented the rodeo sport, bulldogging (steer wrestling).

One in four of America’s cowboys were Black. Many of the slaves were familiar with cattle herding from their homelands of West Africa.

@Columbkille @peterdrake

No serious sources report this factoid, except politically motivated articles which are based on shallow inferences from partial data. It's complete nonsense.

@amerika @peterdrake Well I assume this literal dude existed, right? So is the issue that he did not invent this stuff or that the 1/4 fact isn’t true?

I certainly have seen revisionist history on these identity issues so I know it happens. I am also happy to celebrate previously obscure figures now being recognized assuming the facts are accurate.

@Columbkille @peterdrake

The dude may have existed, but did he do what was claimed?

I am addressing the 1/4 claim, which is obviously bogus.

Many of these "previously obscure figures" were obscure for a reason.

@amerika @peterdrake Well at least I think you would agree that “dusky demon” is pretty based.

@amerika @peterdrake I'll clarify for you: more nigger bullshit. Niggers will quit lying when their tongues quit moving.

@happypirate @peterdrake

Also true of Leftists generally. They do not care about history and want to use it as a political tool.

@happypirate @amerika @peterdrake You know, your political advocacy might be more effective if you targeted your rhetoric for your intended audience.

@Columbkille @amerika @peterdrake I did. Sometimes bluntness is what you need to hear. The tl;dr version is most of the black inventors and black figures of history are frauds, and the few who aren't are usually mixed race (mulattoes or quadroons). The whole Civil Rights crew from MLK to the 'Freedom Riders' to Rosa Parks was an operation run by New York PR and media people with negroes as their front.

@happypirate @peterdrake @Columbkille

In my experience, any politicized history is at least partially a lie.

@amerika @peterdrake @Columbkille The idea, in hindsight, that a brave colored woman daring to sit in her rightful place at the front of the bus was some bold paradigmatic act is completely retarded. Without bigger backers, the story would have been a nothing. It would have faded into obscurity like a thousand or a million other stories like it. The act was in fact a carefully tailored stunt to elicit a media circus and craft a set of narratives. The only way that any of that matters is because those narratives then feed into mass consensus and into deeper power structures. If the big narrative of the day turns against your group (then Civil Rights™ -- now Racism™), then power has tacitly approved open violence and economic warfare against you, as well as other forms of subversion and demoralization.

Likewise, Emmet Till without full court press in favor of the negro plight and silencing any word of negro crimes or uncouthness or degeneracy or just general low negro ability and human worth, would have been a mere criminal hanged and desecrated for attempting to rape a white woman like his father was hanged for raping and murdering an Italian woman in Europe during the Allied occupation. How the light is cast, and where the eyes are placed or where the shadows stay in the popular narratives determines the course of those narratives. The attention of normies is a commodity but it's also easily manipulated.

Southern reconciliation and racial apartness (apartheid, segregation, whatever) both in the north and south were tolerated by the oligarchs only for about as long as it took to smash Germany twice and humble the other European empires, and consequently to sit Amerikwa at the helm of the world order. Thus we come to understand that post-war America, being the principle of the 'new world order', was going to be reframed by the oligarchs and part of that reframing was a patron-client political scheme where negroes and other grievance groups would become clients to be used as bioweapons against the white masses.

@happypirate @peterdrake @Columbkille

As we can see, all of these were staged media events.

Reminds me of how the NYT covered up the Holodomor because they all were in lurve with Stalin.

@amerika @peterdrake @Columbkille You mean Pulitzer Prize-winning shill Walter Duranty? lol

The problem is the rabbit hole goes so deep, once you start digging you never stop

@happypirate @amerika @peterdrake I’m aware of the progressive “divide and conquer” vote strategy and its deleterious consequences for our society. As for the coordinated media campaign thing, I’m sure it’s true and there were distortions of what was going on but are you just upset because your preferred side lost? I’m sure they would have manipulated media to the extent they could too. That seems like standard Homo sapiens behavior and I tend not to get too worked up about standard Homo sapiens behavior. And ultimately it worked because most people decided they didn’t really care about what the person next to them on the bus looked like.

Again, I think you could probably channel your frustrations into more precise critiques and have more influence than the method you are cure choosing.

@Columbkille @happypirate @peterdrake

Conservatives by temperament tend not to do such things, which is why we got in the state we are in.

Leftism is a mental health disorder.

A bit of the old #LiberalValues? I have these too, but realize that they only function in the context of a conservative society.

@amerika @happypirate @peterdrake Interestingly I would say I agree with a lot of what you write. You will hate to hear this but the primary flaw is that it is truth without love or beauty and we need all three to thrive. It’s missing the cross, which necessarily reframes the debate.

I know that’s going to sound woo-woo to you, but I’ve thought a lot about this stuff as well and it’s how I feel. Explaining more would take a longer time and text commitment than this platform / my schedule would allow.

@Columbkille @happypirate @peterdrake

I do not think it lacks love or beauty; more likely, it rejects universal truth and favors a focus on outcomes.

Love means caring about what happens more than intentions.

@amerika @happypirate @peterdrake @amerika, you have a very interesting website, that’s for sure. You’re obviously very smart.

I tend to be a little fatalistic about the state of our civilization. I understand your critiques and there’s a fair amount of truth to them. I think smart leftists could probably counter a bunch too but their current modus operandi is censorship which is actually making them intellectually weak.

I guess maybe I don’t care as much? I make money for myself and my family and raise my kids well. I try to fight decay where I can, and I hope I generally choose the less sociopathic politicians more than the more sociopathic ones, or at least failing that those that want a smaller government and can thus do less aggregate harm. Mostly I work to fix my own flaws and purify my own soul. Ultimately, it’s all I can control, and my ultimate life’s purpose in any event.

@Columbkille @happypirate @peterdrake

I think this is the situation most people find themselves in: hopeless, but trying for the best option for their personal lifetimes.

Thanks for reading!

@Columbkille @amerika @peterdrake It goes well beyond a voting strategy, and voting is merely about legitimizing the system. But am I upset that 'my side' lost? Yes, to a degree, but I am simply giving a sober analysis. You don't like the punchy 2 line version, so I explain it in detail. Fine. My sober analysis, a longwinded version of the very first post I made in this thread, more closely accords with the Truth than the garbage narratives one is fed in popular histories and textbooks and media. The import of that should be obvious. I seek Truth, unlike normie shitbags who seek consensus.

My stance at this point is this - if someone wants me to be a shill and compromise my latent values for the system, they better be offering pretty women to suck my dick or to pay me a fat pile of gold. I will shill as long as the payments roll in, and as soon as they stop I will stop. It's that simple. What do I gain buying into system narratives? Nothing? Then why bother? If your system has nothing to offer then I would rather see it burn.

@happypirate @amerika @peterdrake Truth can actually be quite complicated and history lessons synthesize a lot. But recognizing that some people can veer too far on the other direction. I’ve read a lot of alternate accounts of WW2 for example, and it’s pretty clear that the standard narrative airbrushes certain crimes of the Allies and distorts some of the facts about the Nazis. But for any believer in human rights, the Nazis were still objectively awful. And ultimately that the world was a better place when they were defeated. So, we can explore the nuances all day but usually narratives aren’t just made up out of whole cloth. There’s a reason why they gained enough traction to become the narrative.

Anyways, I doubt we’ll see eye to eye on this. But I would just think *as a matter of strategy* I could probably better promote truth with crisp, professional speech than something that’s going to instantly turn off anyone not on my side.

Like, specifically, I usually just auto-mute people that use too many racial slurs I was just feeling curious today.

@Columbkille @happypirate @peterdrake

Even more, National Socialism and Communism are both unstable, and now democracy has proven that it has joined them.

@Columbkille @happypirate @peterdrake

$0.02:

If people would stop censoring racial terms, those terms would go away.

The censorship of criticism of diversity has made certain terms the only meaningful form of rebellion, and necessary rebellion, in our time.

I don't like the ugliness either however.

@andreas @happypirate @peterdrake @Columbkille

Following democracy, which is the same type of thing.

Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, George Floyd, Rodney King, and Emmet Till were all guilty af.

@Columbkille @happypirate @amerika @peterdrake *Your* political advocacy might be more effective if you targeted your rhetoric for your intended audience.
@peterdrake Nobody cares about niggers, especially niggers.
