@r_mccormack take a trip to the "Wild Atlantic Way" (which you probably have with ) of the west of Ireland and almost every pub you come across will do at lunchtime with Irish wholemeal soda bread and butter and often with chunks of fish you nearly need a knife and fork for. Sublime.

@peterwhisker @r_mccormack That was in Westport in August, town was heaving and it took about six attempts to find a place that had a seat. One of my favourites ever was in Falcarragh, Donegal, crammed with fish it was. Oh and Hargadon’s in Sligo, my old haunt. Returned this year, first time in 26 years, and was delighted the chowder and soda bread were still excellent.

@bagpie @r_mccormack Dinty's at Union Hall (between Skibbereen and Rosscarbery) served the best fish I've ever eaten. But it's only 100m or so from the trawler fleet. 🙂
