@cnx @pganssle I tend to agree with your suggestion here.

It should probably be noted that there is no need to care about quantifiers like những/các if you also drop the classifier. It's not always applicable though, like when you have some demonstratives.

I generally find pronouns like nó/chúng awkward in Vietnamese if we just transliterate them from other language, such as in this case. I can't come up with a case where they're needed, but I suppose there can be.
