Wow, this is the first time I’ve encountered Youtube “shorts”. This is horrible.
I want to say that this marks my transition into a “kids these days are incomprehensible” old man, but I’m pretty sure that this isn’t even my final form in that respect.
@adamchainz I don’t mind short videos (though in practice any TikTok style videos I see are all terrible because they are optimized to be trendy meme type things), I mean the actual form factor is horrible.
They’re in portrait mode and at least the interface on YT seems to be set up for you to start scrolling and see one after the other, as opposed to a normal YouTube video.
@pganssle yeah endless scrolling is a bit annoying. But as to portrait, we’ll, I guess 80% or all computer usage is portrait these days…
