If you're going to make a book where all your sympathetic protagonists are alternate history Confederates, you better have some good explanations for why it is you're doing this. 'Cause this is like making WW2 German soldiers your heros.

And "oh they would've totally freed the slaves if the war went on longer, just for the extra manpower" is frankly bullshit.

So now I have to find a different book to read.
