I may move my mastodon account from the social server to the gamedev server. The local timeline is still readable there.
Has anyone had any experience with this? Anything to look out for?
@rystorm if you are wondering about how to do it, there are detailed, step-by-step instructions on changing #mastadon instances/servers (including useful warnings) in the "Tranferring your Mastodon account to another server" [sic] section here:

The main downside seems to be the fate of postings from the old server; I wish they would be transferred to the new server.
