Actor George Clooney, who just weeks ago hosted a political fundraiser for President Biden, calls for the incumbent Democrat to drop his re-election bid. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/10/opinion/joe-biden-democratic-nominee.html
And do what? Do they think people will go to the polls and cast a vote for "Not Biden - Democrat"?
{citation needed}. Biden has been a rather successful President. Swapping in just anyone would certainly have an effect on the motivation of some voters.
I don't know why I still do this.
- "Everyone thinks X."
- "You don't speak for everyone; some others may think, for example, Y."
- "Yes I do speak for everyone."
... and repeat.
@ryanmfrancis @pieist @w7voa Drumpf is a fucking Rapist!!!!!! A convicted felon RAPIST!!!!!!!
@ryanmfrancis @otownKim @pieist @w7voa
We did. That's why we chose Biden in the primaries. The voting is over, so STFU and accept the will of the people.
@TruthSandwich @ryanmfrancis @pieist @w7voa Exactly!
@otownKim @TruthSandwich@fedi.truth-sandwich.com @pieist @w7voa if you think the 2024 democratic party primary expressed the will of the people, I gotta question your grip on reality. Even if it did, circumstances can change and we are in a new reality. Certainly you don't think that if Biden had been found to have committed treason or abused a child he would have to stay on as the nominee because the primary was over.
@TruthSandwich @ryanmfrancis@mastodon.online @pieist @w7voa I blocked. I'm in no mood
@pieist @w7voa his approval rating is consistently in the 30s. He may be successful in your eyes, but not for most voters. I struggle to conceive of a voter who would for Biden but not another democrat. Maybe an older voter who doesn't like Trump either, but really dislikes Harris, but I doubt there's a statistically meaningful number of those.
