This video is one of the most important videos I have seen on the #Ukraine war.

@anderspuck explains why both Trump and many EU politicians are completely wrong about the war. Because they think, success is defined by reaching a ceasefire and peace negotiations, when in fact those negotiations are what can deliver a victory to Vladimir Putin, moments before he would otherwise have lost the war.

I hope Mr. Puck gets a gazillion views on this one:

@randahl @anderspuck Many “experts” treat negotiations as synonym for capitulation. It is not. Vietnam negotiated 5 years after the Tet offensive, and after they got a peace treaty, they won the war. Against a superpower. So please stop thinking that negotiations are capitulation.

Negotiations are just another front.

I'm also tired after 1000 days of “Putin is almost defeated and will for sure lose the war shortly, and deliver a total victory”. I'm German, I know Endsieg propaganda when I see it. I also read analysis that the Ukraine is close to collapsing with hundred thousands defecting. Everyone wants to believe what he wants to believe, facts look more nuanced.

@forthy42 if you think negotiating with Putin can lead to anything fruitful, please paint a picture of the successful scenario you see.

Russia has already broken and thoroughly trampled every agreement it made re Ukraine. How anyone supposes that the next one will be different -- now that Russia has infinitely more at stake -- boggles the mind. Russia's entire history weighs against this belief. Just start at Chechnya, work backwards and tell me when you find anything that remotely suggests otherwise.
