President-elect Trump announces he’ll appoint Mark Burnett, the producer of The Apprentice TV show, as a special envoy to the UK to “enhance diplomatic relations.”
Context: Special envoys are usually appointed to deal with a particular issue or a troublesome region. So a formal special envoy to the United Kingdom, one of America’s closest allies, would apparently be unprecedented.
@w7voa It's just one of rare occasions of a #trump debt repaid; without Burnett's make-believe "reality TV" production there would no #trump brand whatsoever.
Although since trump is viscerally opposed to repaying any debts, perhaps Burnett has some dirt on him... In fact just knowing and hiding the reality behind it all is worth a reward, or the somewhat more terminal alternative if this fine gentleman were ever to turn...
You've read this, I take it? You'd think Trump wouldn't want to call more attention to this period of his career; it served him admirably in its day but any renewed scrutiny now can only be bad for him.

@demi7en No, I just think it's kind of stupid of him to call attention to The Apprentice again. Like I said, he's got all the boost he's ever going to get from it a long time ago; anything new that comes out is far more likely to be negative now that the gag orders have dropped. I'm not actually surprised that he's doesn't understand that. There's a lot he doesn't understand. The list is endless.

He can (soon) do whatever the hell he wants and the maga "base" (the basest) loves these reality TV level stunts when it's paraded on that crystal ball on the world called "foxnews".
The best thing is, trump isn't going to fork out a single cent for this new circus; it's going to be paid by the American taxpayer. From whatever is left after those "doge" sociopaths have their way with the tax base. But they're totally "sticking it to the man"! (now where's that toothless emoji when you need it...)
