When I first started using Apple as my daily driver, in ~2005, the best advice I got was along the lines of:
"Don't go against what Apple wants you to do. If they want you to use a certain keyboard shortcut, use it. If they want to show you something at a specific size, let them. Don't try to change the GUI; they've spent much more money on this than you'll ever have, and they're better at this than you."
Somehow this 20-year-old advice is still relevant.
@pies Yes, exactly this. It’s okay to not use Apple, but if you’re trying to run a custom window manager on MacOS, you’re probably barking up an orange tree.
