My daughters and I are feeding cows 10,000 pounds of macadamia nuts each and totally don't need to be taxed at 95+ percent of our income.

@greegreehoist Of course I know how plants move. They move very slowly. Except the ones that catch bugs, those will take your arm off.

@stefano In a business it might make sense to raise the resources until the problem is fixed. It might also be cheaper to run a larger server instead of getting devs to optimize it/fix it.

@lcamtuf I also want billionaires to always fail as a rule, because that's the real trickle down economics. Any time they succeed wealth gets more concentrated. Any time they fail and loose money, that money goes to people poorer than them.

@lcamtuf Because we've tried company towns before and they were horrible to people living in them. That's why their success would be a bad thing.

@wyri @derickr I'm pretty sure we're well over the peak, but there will be some residual scum in the corners for some time.

This is probably the best thing I ever posted on Twitter. The memory is pretty dear to me; I'm sharing it here so it still exists somewhere if that place collapses.

@freemo @georgetakei And yet, the "moderate" Republican candidate can't even say what he said.

@georgetakei On the bright side, at your age there's a chance of unseeing it ;)

1000 richest people are approched. "The end of the world is here. Time to go to your doomsday bunker", they are told. The billionaires nodded. They knew this was coming. They were prepared.

So they gathered their loved ones and locked themselves in luxury bunkers. No contact to outside world.

10 years later they emerge. The world has healed. The air is breathable, people are happy. "What was the catastrophy?" they ask the first person they meet.

She screams: "THEY GOT OUT!!!"

People only believe you’re a real scientist if you know the “c” is silent

@the_etrain Well figure out if santaism is nature or nurture.

@georgetakei An illegal immigrant smuggling all sorts of things into every country.

@anders I've only done a few interviews (I'm not a manager), and we usually just talk to the candidate about programming in general. You can quickly learn if someone is interested in programming when you ask things like "what do you think about TDD" (I don't like it much, but it's fine if someone swears by it, they just need to have an opinion).
