@snow A few clients support servers like a #QOTO that have changed the default 500 character limit for Mastodon. Speaking in the https://joinmastodon.org/apps , For Android apps, #Subwaytooter https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.juggler.subwaytooter&hl=en supports so many features (ex. translation etc) and is highly recommended!
(Maybe Tusky https://github.com/tuskyapp/Tusky is not support of more than 500 character! Sorry for my poor English a few!)
