I have a dumb teammate at work and I end up doing most of his work 😢😭
I don't want to escalate his incompetency, but i also hate spending 1 to 2 hours on some days helping him, while I myself have lot of work to complete 😡
@Vishsai funny thing is: he's a long timer in the company 🤦♂️ don't know how he managed all these years. To top that, he is awfully poor in communication. Sometimes I even end up writing emails for him 😡
@raining_night That's your answer on how he managed.
@raining_night if he is not lazy or rude don't feel bad.
@KhanSaab he's actually a good colleague - fills in for me during my vacation.. but that's just it.. we're not friends or something.. the thing is: I'm responsible for the System that we both work in, so I have to take up his work whenever he is incapable of doing that work. Always I make sure i take up the most complex tasks and assign him easy or medium complex tasks only. But still he eats up my time 😬
@raining_night That is a common thing, RN. You will need to think about it and discover the best way to proceed, I think it's part of our learning on the job.
Always lots of internal politics, sometimes backstabbing too. Being good or the best at something doesn't guarantee the person will be successful.
@raining_night Till you are working extra hours for him, you should get the benefits/recognition for that extra work. Keep your seniors in loop whenever you do some critical work which was assigned to him. 🙂
@raining_night can't blame him only the person who hired him.
