@geekgonecrazy That last part is the hardest for me. It's too easy to slip into 'oh that's an easy fix' and then it's one more after another.

Has anyone here built a database or inventory system before? I'm looking to make one for my job and I am leaning towards Microsoft Access. As it's available on all our computers. Does anyone recommend an alternate approach that I might not be aware of that windows shops will have?

@aluaces @jmizzle207 it definetly seemed like awesome software. I just ran out of time and ended up letting it fall to the wayside

@jmizzle207 I'm curious to see what you end up with. I was using Digikam but the project of processing the GB's of photos fell to the way side.

@tzycce@linuxrocks.online Thanks for the link, it's only a 'lab' server so I don't have any personal infrastructure worth saving on it yet though. I might try backing it up though for practice to see if it can transfer.

I just saw that they used GPL so I'm curious to try them/potentially support it down the road.
