Had a need to cover a laptop camera, so designed a simple letter П (yes, that's a letter) shaped part to slide over it, held in place by gravity. It won't close with it in place or anything, I think a freely articulated part glued to the outside would be the next step. But it's very much functional 😉
Decided I wanted a simpler sketch so went with Part in #FreeCAD. Which I haven't yet used for any real project, so deciding what to offset and where took some tries. #3dPrinting #3dModelling

A tip (based on personal experience): print these shapes in vertical, to avoid a potential delamination of the layers.

@GustavinoBevilacqua There is no stress on the part. Also delamination along layer lines isn't as common as people think, my frame loom with tiny vertical poles is still going strong.
