It takes a certain level to achieve that, and I think #Kanye got it.

That said if #Kanye loses, your analysis will likely be proven correct.

Which is why in this respect I think you represent the typical modern American voter since like 2008, wanting a change from the status quo, thus we got a black president and a celebrity president, both in the hopes that thing will be different, and both being at least somewhat disappointing.

@realcaseyrollins some would point to this trend as the decline of empire - Obama was something of an unknown on the nation level and ran a brilliant campaign - Trump was a known commodity which denotes a certain validity for me to the decline of empire - but as you say both predicated on a desire to break from the status quo - the lesson being change in and of itself isn’t enough.
Demographics are changing, younger voters coming in who are also dissatisfied, hopefully the change they seek will be predicated upon reason and common sense.

But then by this logic the Dems shouldn't trot out #JoeBiden, but rather some fresh, new blood, right?
I honestly think someone like #TulsiGabbard or #AndrewYang * could * beat #Trump, as they have a lot of momentum in the online community, at least from what I've heard.

@realcaseyrollins A lot of this is about the party apparatus like the DNC, RNC, “super delegates, and those entrenched.
Hillary was the anointed one and the DNC did everything they could to insure her nomination.
Fast forward now and the RNC is doing likewise.
Factor in the money that’s involved and it lends itself to the rise of “populist” candidates which supposedly was the reason for the electoral college to insure “populism” wouldn’t sweep the nation.
Personally I favor dumping the EC and going with the popular vote if it’s about majority rule which can and cannot be a good thing- we may be the only nation that doesn’t.
Bottom line for me is the system needs a meaningful overhaul.
