@realcaseyrollins I think the real Elliot was the audience, the 4th wall that Elliot would talk to. The Mastermind came to be in season one when he forgot who his sister and dad were.

@dansup Honestly that doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Nobody in the show refers to the audience ("you" or "them") as being the same person as Elliot ("him" or "the other one").

It does explain the audience leaving Elliot in the theater tho...

@realcaseyrollins Not everyone knows about the DID he has, The Mastermind created that repetitive loop to protect Elliot and only one person knew it wasn't the real Elliot, the same person who wasn't allowed to be included in that repetitive loop. Darlene.
