Still, the ad should make it clear that she is an actor.
@stirringthepot The Daily Kos' argument is that they are lying by calling her a "local woman"; this is not true. However, my argument (and I assume yours as well) is that it is deceptive, by not disclosing that it's an actress.
@stirringthepot Deception* is * trying to mislead. However, you can deceive somebody without lying, by omitting the truth, as is the case here.
@realcaseyrollins I understand where you’re coming from and not a problem - we just define what constitutes lying differently.
@realcaseyrollins would you agree there is more than one way to lie? How would you define “deception”?
Would you say deception is an attempt to mislead? If so at the root of that is lying?
