I would like to say this; although they are not the most popular accounts, there are plenty of Gabbers who are great people, and aren't alt-right or racist at all. (In fact, there are two liberals, @stirringthepot and @TImW381, who I would say are worth following.) Futhermore, there are some really good #MSM news bots on Gab, such as @cnn_robot and @nytbot@gab.com.
In short, #Gab adds conservatives (who I find are slightly underrepresented in the #Fediverse), some liberals who post interesting content, and a few good news bots to the community.
@realcaseyrollins @FooBeerBaz @realcaseyrollins @TImW381 @cnn_robot @nytbot a correction if you will, something of a misnomer to characterize me as liberal - I subscribe to no party and consider myself to be fiercely independent, so much so if the current administration were a “liberal” one and behaving in the same way I would be all over them just as I have with previous administrations and the current one.
There are conservative and liberal tenets I agree with, some might characterize that as being conflicted but I believe it speaks to seeking a balance - something sorely lacking in this country.
My approach is if any want to respond in a coherent manner I will reciprocate in kind, if they want to get stupid then bring it on. I don’t block unless someone attempts a parting shot and then scurries to hit the block button as if that somehow proves their point, then it’s tit for tat.
You are something of an anomaly in the gab environment conducting yourself with aplomb
and the ability to converse intelligently - appreciate that and carry on.

I see; I tend to separate ideology from party affiliation, but did not mean to insinuate to others that your are a Democrat.
On the thread issue, that is an issue that I think stems from the software; I'm not intentionally breaking the threads. (If you click the #QOTO link you should be able to see the full thread tho. I often have to do this with #Pleroma replies, myself.)
