Do not understand why President Trump did not just pardon Roger Stone for the crime of obstructing justice on his behalf. Fucking with the sentencing and convincing 3 career prosecutors to resign at once is just as pernicious and less effective. He still may get a long sentence!

@Guild I never followed the Stone case all that closely, but I heard he was one of the witnesses who had been duped by the FBI because he wasn't told that what he was saying was "on the record" and if he lied, he was committing perjury or something.
Even so, the man is guilty, and you can't retry an old case IIRC. I don't see the need for the case to be shortened.
The prosecutors resigning is quite curious, however. 🤔
