@SheChanges I do need to watch it again. But affirmative action? Thats a clearly racist policy, as I'm sure Peterson would agree.

It says, "well, you black people can't make it because you aren't good enough, let me help you". It's nothing if not preposterous, and perpetuates the notion that blacks cannot succeed on their own. "They cannot make it without affirmative action! Without it, they cannot succeed!" Give me a break.

If people are discriminating in hiring practices, fine. Let's fight against that. But we don't need to hire inferior people just so that the rainbow of the company's demographics look delightful to certain SJWs sitting up in their ivory tower, so they can look down from heaven, sigh with relief and say "ah, finally, equality".

@realcaseyrollins @SheChanges I cannot cannot cannot understand how any policy predicated on race can avoid being racially discriminate. If you are selected for a job purely on the basis of your race what else could that be? Of course, one can say this is "positive racism", but I can't see how it is anything BUT racism.

to balance the imbalance

I would love to think we have progressed beyond Hammurabi’s “eye for an eye” system.

Keep in mind Affirmative Action also has a dark side.

Affirmative action-induced low grades are a serious problem—as demonstrated by research over the course of the last decade. For example, in one study of top law schools, more than 50 percent of African-American law students (many of whom had been admitted pursuant to affirmative action policies) were in the bottom 10 percent of their class. And the dropout rate among African-American students was more than twice that of their white peers (19.3 percent vs. 8.2 percent).

How do we balance that out? More Affirmative Action?

@SheChanges @realcaseyrollins My argument doesn't speak to causality -- I am just pointing out that Affirmative Action even hurts people who accept the jobs and positions. Should we just concede that Affirmative Action placed students drop out more or should we seek alternate solutions?
