This is an important study from the CDC themselves that shows:
1. Most people think COVID transmission levels are much lower than they actually are
2. When people know there's high transmission, they're much more likely to wear a mask
It's criminal that the CDC & governments have misled the public about COVID levels.

@luckytran What is 'transmission level' in this context? The linked paper just talks about it as if it was obvious what it meant. (I don't know if it's local per-capita rate of new cases, or local log-growth of the rate of new cases, or something else.)
