I see a some people saying Mastodon shouldn't moderate.

I think that moderation is critical for every community, online or otherwise, whether it's self-moderation, community volunteer moderation or organized platform level moderation

Communities attract people who' s joy is disruption & people who love to attack different people in anonymity and there must be a method of dealing with that and them or it's not fair to the community and diminishes the experience and quality

In Mastodon there are two moderation actions you can apply to an instance (ignoring the "do not fetch images" thing): stop communicating with them entirely and stop showing any content from them to users, unless showing content to followers.

Do you think that it's useful to do the former instead of the latter in cases similar to this?
