I am playing with some ideas regarding printer construction, both mechanical and electrical, going (AFAIK) against established patterns I see in consumer constructions.
Reliability, hackability, low TCO and even possibility to reuse scavenged components from more popular devices. Briefly, an ideal coming straight from Doctorow's "Printcrime" story.
