@Viss violation of any law that is punishable by a fine is only a deterrent to the poor.
Would you say the same if the fine scaled linearly with income (or some combination of income and wealth)? (I'm curious if there's something still broken in those models.)
... and even if income tax gets paid on that income, for out purposes here it'd matter _who_ notionally pays that tax. Thanks.
