microreview of a short story collection, spoilerfree

Sleep and The Soul by @gregeganSF is the usual mix of hard SF and social commentary I came to expect. Some stories lean more in one or the other direction, but the whole collection definitely has something for fans of either. The struggles of the characters are easy to empathize with, even if you disagree with them, and a lot of the stories left me feeling quite strongly both for them, as well as the social ills the stories alluded to. Delightful as usual, strong recommend.

Other thoughts:

The Solidity symbol makes me feel weird about my avatar.
The jab at Rogan made me wonder how many such things I missed in previous stories due to lacking sufficient context.

Where was the jab at Rogan? ^^*

spoilers for "Sleep and the Soul"

@robryk In After Zero, when Latifa is trying to debunk the people who are planning to use the resources she needs for the lens to time travel, she goes on something that looks like a Rogan-ish podcast(?). @gregeganSF
