I got a dashcam a couple years ago. On reviewing the footage, the most common cause of road rage directed at me is when I'm following someone in a long train of cars with no opportunity to pass, waiting for a gap that could be used to pass

The person behind me eventually loses their mind and road rages, I suspect because I'm not tailgating the person in front of me

I wonder what mental model these road ragers have about traffic. Maybe they think tailgating causes traffic to move faster?

Might some of them be unable to see what's in front of you (as in, unable to see that you can't overtake the obstruction)?
