@dunkelstern Huh. I think we had an accidentally grown nut tree that started having single nuts within something like 5 years, but random sources agree with you, so I probably misremember. Thanks.

@robryk my parents have a walnut tree, if you buy a 4 year old tree it takes some time to “regrow” lost roots and conventional wisdom of the tree farm was at least 6 more years. I think they hit the timing with that if i believe my parents. Seems to be much climate dependent
