Remember in the mid-2000s when the cool internet thing to do when visiting family was to install Firefox on their PC and convince them to switch from IE?

The nerdy among us should start doing that type of thing again for browsers, search engines, messaging apps, social networks, etc.

I’ve been toying with Matrix lately on the hope that I can get a bridge setup for the people I can’t convince to switch.

@mike privacy as the main thing yet still nice to use and is good at group chats, attachments, etc. default end-to-end encryption, no apparent backdoors govs can exploit (basically it’s what telegram pretends to be)
