If there is one thing about America since 9/11 that is clear to me as an American who fled the country for a better life in Europe... the terrorists won.

I guess perspective is everything. As a USAian who lived in Europe, I returned to the US (granted, pre 9/11) and have no intent or desire to relocate outside these borders . The terrorists lose every time anyone decides they're irrelevant. To me, the so-called "terrorists" don't even exist... I do have to admit there's a case to be made for a certain ginger terrorist existing, but he also is irrelevant to my life.
