Got stuck behind a turtle on my way to drop my daughter off at camp today.

Oh, look, Sam Adams has a new beer out this summer....oh, well, on second thought, I think I'll pass

My solar panels productivity took a major dip during the eclipse this afternoon. We had 80% coverage where I live.

About 4 months ago, I started the process of getting solar panels installed at my house. Four months of HOA applications, insurance paperwork, government permits, and equipment upgrades from my electric company.

Finally, this evening, the stars aligned, and I finally got all my approvals, and the system was activated. I am finally ready to start getting my electricity right from the sun....

and then I looked at the weather forecast :ablobsadrain:

Normally, I walk our dog in the morning and my wife walks her in the evening. My wife was out of town, so I handled the evening walk last night. I got to the top of the hill near by and got rewarded with a good view of the sunset.

I need to figure out how to switch shifts...

It took quite the sunset, but I got proof that something can capture my son's attention other than YouTube

1) the snakes are venomous, not poisonous. 2) going for a hike down south is a bit more adventure than it was up north. We had snakes, but you rarely saw them. Down here, people are telling me I'm going to see them all the time.

What kind of person sees this sign and thinks to themselves, yes, that's where I'll order sushi from tonight?

Tonight we went to the Chinese Lantern Festival in Raleigh. It was nice walking around in warm weather after experiencing temps in the negatives last week while visiting family up north.

I'm pretty sure my feed tonight is a 2:1 ratio of toots about Twitter vs toots about anything else.

Come on, people, we must have better things to toot about than the man-baby. Your kids, your pets, a fun game you've been playing, a cool rock you saw during a walk this afternoon.... Literally, anything else.

For anyone else tired of Musk, I offer a pic of my dog:

One last trip through Newark Liberty International after living in NJ for over 11 years.

Now we are ready for Thanksgiving to start. The turkey butter has been purchased!

For the first time in my life I live in a state that allows early voting, so I took advantage of it this afternoon.

So, of course, when I showed up, they said it was the first time they'd had a line in the two weeks they've been open.
