I like (and am impressed by) @protonprivacy a lot, very happy user. The service offers me a suite of essential services. But with reaching a larger audience comes a new challenge: People want full fledged photo services, documents and spreadsheets on par with Google.

Instead of developing all of this, wouldn’t it be possible to reach an open source standard for cooperation? Many good solutions exist (e.g. @ente for photos is a great solution way ahead of #protondrive photo backup).

Privacy is an end, not a means.

Sadly, some think this means they should put it to an end.
