Okay so my lecture for the Edinburgh University studies on the Politics of AI is done. We'll investigate the question if AI has built-in politics and if yes, which politics those are.

Spoiler alert: AI is structurally a right-wing project. It's not a tool for leftists.

@tante I am so sick of the fact we as a society have allowed tech industry grifters to apply the term 'AI' to their products when the term does not apply.

The is no intelligence in an LLM. Zero. It does not think. It does not understand the meaning of words, only the statistically most common context in which they exist in training data. Its just autocorrect with more environmental damage as a bonus.

It is not the underlying simple mechanism that is relevant, but the emergent complexity. LLMs are so good at modelling thought patterns (to determine the next word) that they are thought patterns.
